Chain Lubrication Systems

In and around harsh and corrosive conditions a robust industrial chain lubrication system and maintenance regime is essential if costly production downtime is to be avoided. If the chain that powers the line develops a fault, the costs incurred can run into thousands of pounds. Downtime and the resultant disruption to the operation alone are likely to incur eye-watering losses and, in the event that the chain has to be completely written off, the owner will be looking at a large bill for a replacement.

Production line chain will malfunction for all sorts of reasons but one of the most common causes of failure is a lack of sufficient or regular lubrication.

FB Leaf Chain’s lubrication systems use a unique patented method of applying accurate amounts of lubricant to chain; it delivers lube to exactly the right part of the chain at exactly the right time, every time. Unaffected by speed fluctuations or indexing, it’s a truly simple and effective solution to extending chain life.

System RA

Manufactured from Polyacetal POM material, our standard range of applicators provide a good reliable method of applying lubricant to the chain plates and/or roller. They can be supplied with or without reducing nozzles. This applicator will operate using air pressure no more than 1 bar (15 psi), it is supplied with Nitrile (NBR) seals as standard however alternative sealing such as Viton (FKM) are available. This unit is design to operate in relatively low temperatures up to 80 °C.

System PB

Manufactured from Phosphor Bronze material, this enhanced range of applicators provide a fantastic and reliable method of applying lubricant to the chain plates and/or roller. They are supplied without reducing nozzles, this type of applicator has an extended pressure range up to 2 bar (30 psi), it is supplied with Nitrile (NBR) seals as standard however alternative sealing such as Viton (FKM) are available. This unit can operate at temperatures up to 170 °C.

System AL

Manufactured from Aluminium material, like the enhanced range of applicators this series provide a fantastic and reliable method of applying lubricant to the chain plates and/or roller. Usually used where larger applicators are require for larger pitch chains and can be supplied with or without reducing nozzles, this type of applicator has an extended pressure range up to 2 bar (30 psi), it is supplied with Nitrile (NBR) seals as standard however alternative sealing such as Viton (FKM) are available. This unit can operate at temperatures up to 170 °C. Where corrosion / oxidization are concerns this unit can be supplied with an electrolytic passivation process (anodised).

This unit is design to operate in temperatures up to 170 °C. Where corrosion / oxidization are concerns this unit can be supplied with an electrolytic passivation process (anodised) in conjunction with aluminium.

Manufactured from fluoroplastics material such as Symalit® and stainless steel this enhanced range of applicator series works in aggressive acidic / alkaline environments, unequalled performance and reliable method of applying lubricant to the chain plates and/or roller. Supplied without reducing nozzles, this type of applicator has an extended pressure range up to 2 bar (30 psi), Nitrile (NBR), Viton (FKM), & Silicone seals are utilised dependant on the environment. This unit is design to operate in temperatures up to 140 °C.

System EX

Manufactured from Aluminium or steel material, similar in characteristic to the enhanced range of applicators this series provides an unequalled and reliable method of applying lubricant to the chain plates and/or roller, designed to operate in temperatures up to 300°C. Supplied without reducing nozzles, this type of applicator has an extended pressure range up to 2 bar (30 psi). Where corrosion / oxidization are concerns this unit can be supplied with an electrolytic passivation process (anodised) in conjunction with aluminium.
