Business Development Manager

Who will I be working for?

FBkc specialise in providing engineered solutions and improvements to power transmission, conveying, and general machine applications.

FB Chain’s Business Development Managers are responsible for managing the company’s interactions with future customers. Their role is to improve business relationships, generate new business and manage the first RFQ up until these companies are placing regular orders.

Based in our Blackburn office during regular office hours, occasionally they work outside these hours at networking events, trade shows and travelling to meetings with prospective clients, usually with other members of the sales and technical teams.

A key part of this role is to fully understand customers’ problems and to be our customers’ voice inside the company. 

Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and subsequently connecting with them.

Contacting potential clients via email or telephone to establish rapport and set up meetings.

Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes the decisions and why they make the decisions they do about purchasing.

Playing an active part in the company’s marketing initiative and coordinating activity in their market segment.

Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
