At FB Leaf Chain, we know that there are more intelligent and useful ways to deliver leaf chain than on an enormous spool or just packed randomly in a box.
Wouldn’t it be better if it was cut to length and packed in the precise order you are going to use it in your assembly process? Clearly identified? Perhaps with the minimum of packaging for environmental reasons? And boxed efficiently to save storage space?
And why get the leaf chain, anchor bolts and associated parts separately? That just means you’ll spend extra time assembling them – why not receive the whole assembly – ready to fit?
We can supply a wide range of leaf chain kits and package solutions to ease scheduling issues, eliminate stock loss, and save valuable time on the production line.
There are many ways we can help you to save time and money on the production line, such as:
- Intelligent packing – reducing the warehouse space required, and making leaf chain easier to use and integrate into production
- Just in time delivery to minimise stock levels
- Plug and play assemblies
- Split packages
- Reduced packaging – saving costs and environmentally friendly
By taking a consultative approach we can help you to speed up production, reduce bottlenecks and seamless integrate leaf chain assembles into your production scheme.
Kit 1
- Pallet contains every chain related item required to build one machine
- Each chain is cut to length and assembled to the anchor bolts
- 72 different components
- Includes sealed for life pulleys
- Some parts are assembled and some not
- All the split pins that are required are included
- The parts are laid out in a way that allows the end user to pull the chain from the pallet and fix to their mast with ease

Kit 2
- Pallet contains packs of the same leaf chain assemblies
- Each bag contains both anchor bolts assembled to the leaf chain and nuts that are partially threaded up the anchor bolt and the pulleys
- Each chain is cut to length and assembled to the anchor bolts
- The chain is mounted and laced to a pre-cut piece of card and then strapped and bagged
- Bags are used to keep the assemblies clean and avoid contamination and any potential effect of weathering
- The chain is laced and strapped in a particular way to avoid twists and kinks and subsequent breakages
- Ancillary parts, in this case pivot blocks, are boxed up and included in the pallet
- Each is packed in a separate bag for ease of use
- Several packs in one pallet for easy, space saving warehouse storage
- Labels are on each kit detailing the information that is required, such as purchase order number, part number, week number. This aides stock control and traceability
Kit 3
- Pallet contains packs of the same leaf chain assemblies
- Each bag contains individual cut to length chain, assembled to 2 anchor bolts
- Chain is laced into squares to increase the number stored in each pallet and thus reduce warehouse space
- Each is packed in a separate bag for ease of use and cleanliness
- Labels are on each kit detailing the information that is required, such as purchase order number, part number, week number. This aides stock control and traceability

Kit 4
- Individual cut to length chain with all parts fixed to the chain and laced into a pallet
- Ideal for high volume
- Each chain assembly is colour coded for easy identification, along with the same colour label on the front of the pallet which simplifies work instructions
- Eco friendly as chain packed directly into the pallet
- Good for storage as the pallet is full
Kit 5
- These two pallets when combined together contain chain assemblies for 5 machines
- The pallets include all the required parts which includes split pins
- Some parts are assembled and some aren’t
- Kits are packed and assembled in the best way to aide the assembly process
- Each pallet can be delivered to the correct part of the assembly line at the point the particular assemblies are required
- The assemblies are laid out in a specific manner that reduces manufacturing time

Kit 6
- Pallet contains one week’s demand of various chain assemblies for all the machines being built that week.
- The leaf chain is cut to length and assembled to the anchor bolts and includes, split pins, nuts and any other ancillary items
- Bags are used to keep the assemblies clean and avoid contamination
- Each is packed in a separate bag for ease of use
- Labels are on each kit detailing the information that is required, such as purchase order number, part number, week number. This aides stock control and traceability
- Several packs in one pallet for easy, space saving warehouse storage
Boom Kit
Kits containing all the chain-related components for one boom are ideally suited to the modular construction of large booms. FB boom kits can be issued directly onto assembly lines, reducing the inventory and number of vendors and deliveries.
